Is this a Mike Lambert original?I do believe writing is a step toward change, but it seem in many cases, nobody is listening. They might read, but they don't listen.

I am certain that in history, someone else has said if you want to change \”X\” (X = world, your business, the school system, etc), pick up your pen (typewriter) and write. Otherwise, it's a Mike Lambert 'original'? ADM Stavridis may have suggested something similar – think, read, write and publish.

I recommend careful thought before any letters to senior Navy leaders. Be wary of giving them a reason to come after you.

Having the courage to write is only half the solution to changing the Navy…the other half being the DOING or ACTING portion.
